Stern Paula (design by Carmen Sprung)


As I am preparing for a patriotic-themed origami class later this month, I am scouring my library for fun, unique models that are simple enough to teach beginners. 

First up, Carmen Sprung's 21 Star book!


I absolutely love this book. It is jam-packed full of amazing models. And to start let's look at ... Stern Paula.

This model uses 5 modules. Each unit is about 5.5 cm x 7.5 cm of single color washi paper. The finished model is about 9 cm.
