Airy Jade (design by Ekaterina Lukasheva)

This was the first model I folded out of Ekaterina Lukasheva's new book Kusudama Origami.  I like the openness of his model.  I used a blue/purple shaded harmony paper I picked up from Amazon.com. This model is made up of 30 units.  Each unit was 1.5 x 3 inches.  The unit folds were quite simple.  The overall model is approximately 5 inches tall.  I did struggle to get the units to lock tightly.  Because my co-workers like to handle my origami creations, I did glue the units together to ensure its longevity.
