Truncated Icosahedron (design by Tomoko Fuse)

I have had a busy Labor Day weekend. A lot of school shopping, studying and folding.  I just love a long weekend of paper :)

This was my third project of the weekend.  I found this model in Tomoko Fuse's Unit Polyhedron Origami.  What a great book!

This was my first attempt and it is obvious in the folds, but still too lovely not to share.  This is definitely a model I will make again.  It was fun and fairly simple.

I used some simple scrapbooking paper a friend of mine picked up from Hobby Lobby, as I wanted the design to be the star.  The units did lock together fairly well.  However, I wanted to hang it so I did reinforce with some Elmer's glue.
